Outreach Progams

VBM's Property for future Outreach Facilities  and Programs has just been blessed in a very unexpected and tremendous way!  We knew when we began to purchase the property back in November 2007 that there were not yet city sewage services near us as the property is located in a rural but rapidly growing area of town. This property is in the desert exactly between 2 extremely needy neighborhoods where God has pressed on our hearts to continue ministering.  However, we have seen the city plans and know that soon the city will be expanding the flood and tornado victim's new neighborhood to finish building the neighborhood to run right beside our property.  We have known in our spirit that God is preparing us on this property to be a point of salvation for many to come and know and grow in Christ.

Vine and Branches annual City - Wide Teachers Conferences in conjuntion with Dava Lee Russell Ministries team was March 8-12th.  In our continuing desire to "equip teachers to teach from the heart", God had pressed upon us the theme of "A More Excellent Way" from 1 Corinthians 13:4.  This year the Saturday Teachers Conference filled up quickly and we actually had to turn people away. There was an incredible turnout among the 120 attendees from 28 different churches, 12 denominations and  11 schools.  Barriers were broken down all week as we were so well received in a variety of schools and had a strong turnout from various church denominations in the conferences.   We had opportunities to plant seeds in the hearts of non-belivers, Catholics and every weary worn servants from all denominatinos who came thirsty and opened wide to drink in the refreshing, loving presence and promises of the Lord. 

Praise God our Jehovah Jireh!  VBM has raised the remaining funds needed to purchase the 3.6 acers of land  for its future Outreach Facility and Conference Hall.  Last November 2007, a step of faith was taken and we began to purchase the property totalling $12,000.   The property is strategically located in a rural neighborhood where families of our recent flood (2004) and tornado (2007) lost everything and have been relocated into  their neighborhood.  We thank God for every heart that is being obedient to this His calling and has been sowing into this opportunity to reach Piedras Negras' children, youth and their families for Christ. 

It is that time again.... time to celebrate Jesus' birthday! Lots of parties and piñatas, candy, presents and.... CHILDREN!  We have lots of opportunities this time of the year to teach about how Christ came to be King when He was born in a lowly, dirty stable... much like our hearts.

As we try to plan for the 5 children cell groups to have a special celebration we are asking God to provide for the meal, favors, candies, piñata and presents needed.  We go about walking through their neighborhoods singing a traditional christmas carol about how Joseph and Mary were seeking room at an inn.  We knock on the doors and ask as the song does if there is room here for Christ to be born.  As they join us and we go singing at the next house..we fininsh at the designated house where the party is and where Joseph & Mary are invited into the "stable area" where Jesus is born.  It is always an exciting time to see how the children bring their parents and how many of them, along with other children come to accept Christ being born in their hearts!  Please pray for the doors of their hearts to be open and for the love of Christ to penetrate their lives during this season!
